What is fog? Why is there fog, is it related to environmental pollution? Let's learn about fog in the article below.

What is fog?
Fog is a phenomenon in which water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into very small water droplets that float in the air and reduce our visibility.
Fog is a dangerous meteorological phenomenon, especially for road, river, sea and air transport. Fog has caused considerable obstacles and losses every year.
In our country, fog often occurs in the months from late autumn to late spring, but is most frequent and intense in the winter months. Nowadays, the air is increasingly polluted, causing fog to occur more frequently and more densely.
Causes of fog
The conditions for fog formation are high relative humidity, relatively low air temperature, weak wind speed or calm wind.
Fog typically forms at relative humidity of about 100% and the difference between air temperature and dew point is less than 4.5°F.
During condensation, water vapor molecules combine to form tiny droplets of liquid water that float in the air and are visible to the naked eye. Because water vapor condenses around extremely small solid particles, dust or other air pollution also contributes to this.
Fog often forms in the morning because this is the coolest time of the day.
