Pieter van Wyk, a tour guide, captured the scene of a bird attacking a tree snake (Dispholidus typus) - one of the most venomous snakes in Africa at Mala Mala Wildlife Reserve, South Africa.
In the video, the bird, despite its small size, is extremely aggressive. It continuously jumps around and pecked at the snake.
Despite possessing extremely dangerous venom, the tree snake can only endure the enemy's "heavenly" pecks to the eyes and head.

This small but fearsome “killer” bird is the grey-headed bush shrike, scientifically known as Malaconotus blanchoti. This bird usually lives in Africa in bushes, forest edges, riverine forests and savannas.
The Grey-headed Shrike has green plumage, a yellow belly and grey head, short rounded wings, and a black bill with a downward-curving hook. Adults range in body length from 23 to 26 cm and weight from 65 to 99 g.
The Grey-headed Shrike is known to be a ferocious bird, specializing in hunting snakes for meat, even the extremely venomous cobra can become their food. In addition to snakes, this bird also eats most animals it encounters and can kill, including large insects, wasps, rodents, amphibians and birds...
The Bush Shrike's preference is to eat the eyes and intestines of its prey.
