Marking unimportant messages as read ensures that they don’t appear on your screen every time you open WhatsApp. Message notifications are then reserved for other important messages, preventing you from missing or receiving too many messages at once. How to mark WhatsApp messages as read
On the interface of the WhatsApp iPhone application , users find the message they want to mark as read, then swipe right and select Read as shown below.
With WhatsApp Android, you press and hold on the message then tap the 3 dots icon in the top right corner. The options will appear, tap Mark as read.
How to mark multiple WhatsApp messages as read
You can mark all unread WhatsApp messages as read on your phone and not on your desktop.
On iPhone , we click on the 3 dots icon in the top left corner of the interface, then click Read all to turn unread messages into read messages. Then the notification of how many unread messages there are will no longer appear on the interface.
For Android, press and hold on a message to select it, then tap the 3-dot icon in the top right corner. The interface displays, tap Select All to select all messages . Any messages that are incorrect can be unchecked.
Click the 3 dots icon again and select Mark as read.
